Why Waiting Is Your Biggest Enemy (And What to Do Instead)

This week, I became hyper-aware of a familiar moment—the moment before taking action on something big. The moment where hesitation creeps in.

Today, I want to share a powerful distinction: Event → Action.

Definitions:

🔹 Event – A conversation, thought, inspiration, or commitment that requires action to bring it to life.

🔹 Action – The steps you take, no matter how small, to move forward.

The principle is simple: The faster you take action after an event, the more powerfully you create results. Momentum is everything.

Event → Action = Powerful Creation

The alternative? Waiting.

Waiting invites doubt, fear, and second-guessing. It drains your energy, stalls your vision, and often stops you in your tracks.

Event → Time → Doubt, Fear, Worry = Less Likely to Take Action

I experienced this firsthand this week. I was invited to speak at an event in Peru this April. I immediately said yes. Yet when it came time to book the arrangements, hesitation hit me…

💭 Maybe I should wait…

Wait for what? I was already committed.

And, in that small pause, doubts started whispering:

❓ Is this the right decision?

❓ What if something comes up?

❓ What if…?

I caught myself. I chose to step into Event → Action.

I hit the pay button. Boom. Done.

And just like that, I felt Free. Free from hesitation. Free from doubt. Free to move forward and take the next step of creation.

Your Turn:

What is one event you can take action on right now?

FREEDOM UNLEASHED TAKEAWAY:

Take action now. Even the smallest step fuels momentumempowering you as the creator of your life.
